Delivery Van Strengthens Food Service Program for Idaho Falls Rescue Mission
The Idaho Falls Rescue Mission is focused on providing both immediate relief and long-time stability for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and hardship. They run programs such as The Haven, Ruth House, and City of Refuge shelters; an addiction recovery program; and the Serving Home program, which provides daily hot meals and food box distribution. As part of their efforts to serve some of the most vulnerable members of our community, they provide more than 49,000 meals each year. IFRM partners with local stores and foodbanks to provide these meals, and they need a reliable van to transport this food from their partners to the people they serve. Their transporting van recently broke down and needed to be replaced. CHC Foundation was happy to provide a grant to support the purchase of a replacement vehicle for this very worthy cause.
