New Mower Makes for Smooth Pathways in Teton County
Teton Valley Trails and Pathways, established in 1998, has a mission of establishing and maintaining a trails-and-pathways-connected community in Teton County. The hundreds of miles of trails and pathways this organization builds, maintains, and grooms are open to everyone, with zero fees charged for their use. In the winter of 2024-2025, the organization's trail counter logged over 44,000 visits to the winter trails alone. Use of these trails is consistently increasing year over year.
The mower TVTAP was using for trail grooming was well-used and often in a state of disrepair, creating serious overgrowth and limiting trail accessibility.
The new mower will be used to trim grass and brush within the footprint of seven different groomed winter trails in Teton Valley. Keeping these trails mowed before snow falls enables the team to maintain a more smooth and uniform snow surface for users while preventing damage to the winter grooming equipment.
