New Rugs Create Cozy (and Sanitary) Living Space at Promise Ridge

Promise Ridge has been providing temporary shelter for women and children in crisis in Idaho Falls for the past eight years. They aim to provide a home-like living environment in which women are supported in reaching their goals, connected with community resources, and given opportunities to build friendships with one another. 

Promise Ridge recently had its carpeting replaced with vinyl plank flooring, which vastly increased the cleanliness of the living space and enabled staff to more easily manage spills, allergens, and bedbugs. Wanting to keep the home feeling comfortable and welcoming, however, Promise Ridge approached CHC Foundation about providing a grant to help purchase washable area rugs that would provide visual and tactile softness to these living spaces.
